As a result, he was forced to retire from the event.

Hottinger put the deal together to show his appreciation for all that Aitken has done for him.  Dewaine comments, "Geoff has been with me since day one when I was just starting racing in Street Stocks at Centerville, and he was just 8 years old.  His tireless help over the years has really been big for me.  I really owe him a lot, and with the help of Jon Kirby we were able to put this deal together to show our appreciation, and so that on off weekends he can go and have some fun."

After starting at the back of his heat race, Dewaine would make up a few spots, but would still be relegated to starting deep in a b-main on Saturday night. As a result, the team made the decision to not race on Saturday night.

Justin was running strong in the feature, when mechanical woes brought his night to a disappointing end.

On Friday night, the team made the trek back to Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri for an MSRA Super Late Model event. The night got off to a great start for Dewaine, who won his heat race, and via passing points earned the pole for the feature event. May 31st, 2010 - It was a busy weekend for Dewaine and Hott Motorsports. On Thursday they made the trek to Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri for the 18th Annual DART Show Me 100. After practicing on Thursday night, the event kicked into gear on Friday with time trials and heat race action. Unfortunately Dewaine would struggle in time trials, and on a track where passing was difficult he would not advance far in his heat race, which left him starting deep in a b-main event on Saturday night. For Saturday night, the track would be in much better shape, and after starting deep in a 20 car b-main, Dewaine mounted a great run through the field to a 5th place finish. Despite falling short of getting a top two finish in the b-main to qualify for the feature, the team was very pleased with their run on Saturday after Friday's misfortune.

On Sunday night, Hott Motorsports traveled to Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri for the 10th Annual Tony Roper Memorial, which posted a $3,000 to win purse for the M.A.R.S. Super Late Models. In heat race action, Hottinger started on pole, and went on to take the heat win by a straightaway over second place, Terry Phillips. Via his heat race win, Dewaine started in the fourth position for the feature. By lap three he was up to second and was reeling in the leader, when the caution flag flew. On the ensuing double file restart, Dewaine was forced to restart on the bottom of the track, which forced him back to the third spot. He would run in the third spot for the majority of the remainder of the event before being shuffled to a sixth place finish late in the race. Full results are available at www.MARSRacingSeries.com .

May 16th, 2010 - Dewaine once again saw his weekend plans nixed by Mother Nature as he didn't get to race anywhere.

May 9th, 2010 - After almost a month away from the track due to excessive rain over the past few weeks, Hott Motorsports finally returned to action at the 1/4 mile, USA Speedway in Sterlington, Louisiana on Friday night in a COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model event. Thirty-four Super Late Models entered the event, and after falling just short of locking into the feature via heat race action, Hottinger was forced to a b-main event. He would go on to win the b-main to earn the 16th starting spot for the 30 lap feature. After an early race tangle, Dewaine would rebound to a 12th place finish.

On Saturday night the racing action moved to 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Arkansas for a $2,000 to win/$400 to start, COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model event. With twenty-three Super Late Models on hand, the night started good for Dewaine as he won his heat race to earn the 5th starting spot for the 40 lap main event. However, in the feature Hottinger's luck would take a turn for the worse as mechanical woes in the rear suspension sidelined him to an 18th place finish in the final rundown.

April 11th, 2010 - Hott Motorsports entered a pair of COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model events over the weekend. On Friday night, Dewaine was in action at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas in a $2,000 to win event. Via heat race action, Hottinger locked into the ninth starting spot for the feature event. On a track surface that lended itself to little passing, Dewaine would race his way to a 9th place finish.

On Saturday night, the team traveled to the 1/4 mile, Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas, where he entered another $2,000 to win event. Twenty-five Super Late Models signed in for battle, and Hottinger locked into the 8th starting spot for the main event. The race got off to a rough start for Hottinger as contact from another competitor cut down one of his rear tires forcing him to bring out the caution on lap three. He would head pitside for fresh rubber before rejoining the tail of the field. Over the remainder of the event, he would rebound to a 10th place finish.
